Amy Virginia Buchanan

(writer, co-director, executive producer)

As a performance artist, they’ve showcased work at HERE, Dixon Place, La Mama, The Tank, The Incubator Arts Project, 14th Street Y, The Brick, and The Whitney Museum. As a musician, they’ve written and produced two original albums. In 2012, Amy co-founded the creative agency Spring Street Social Society, which produced over 100 cultural events and experiences in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and London until closing shop in 2018. Afterward, Amy spent time as a freelance creative director, working primarily in media (Refinery29 and NYLON) before moving on to a career in advertising strategy at McCann and then Ogilvy. 

This is their first film.

Reagan Matthew

(co-director, executive producer, editor)

Reagan is a New York–based director, producer, and founder of Kind Studio. Before turning to film full-time, he spent over a decade in food and beverage building and shaping hospitality ventures—including Felix Roasting Company—a background that continues to inform his creative practice and shaped the lens through which he approaches both film and business.

Since 2021, he has created work around the world for brands and publications including Vogue, The New York Times, La Marzocco, Nespresso, Condé Nast, American Express, Porsche, and The North Face.

This is his first narrative short.

Sean Funcik

(director of photography)

Sean is a Brooklyn-based photographer and director of photography whose practice spans commercial photography, branded films, and creative production. At Sean Funcik Studio, he has collaborated with brands and artists for over 13 years. In 2024, he founded Vitreous, a post-production studio specializing in retouching and color for advertising and fashion photography.

Trevor Welch

(composer)

Trevor began his career at 7-time Grammy Award winner Jim Scott’s studio and has since scored documentaries, feature length narratives and short films, including AXEL, winner of “Best Short” and “Best Composer” at Los Angeles Documentary Film Festival, and From Time Without Beginning, selected at over 20 film festivals. In 2024 he scored OBATA, directed by Adam Prieto, which has been selected for programs at the Asian American International Film Festival and screened at institutions including SFMOMA.

Kayla Pleasant

(assistant director, producer)

Kayla is a New Orleans born Musician, Assistant Director, and Producer who moved to New York in 2012 to study Communications and Music Technology, later earning a Master’s in Marketing and Communications Management. Grounded in soulful Southern culture, she approaches filmmaking with a deep sensitivity to rhythm, structure, and collaboration. She has contributed to features and series including Chevalier, Genius: MLK/X, and SAMO LIVES, thriving in spaces where disciplined execution and creative vision move in harmony.
